We offer both classic tours introducing Turaida’s history and main sites, as well as themed excursions focusing on specific stories — the castle, manor life, historic gardening traditions, or the creation of Folk Song (Dainu) Hill.

Tours are available in Latvian, Russian, and English.

Here is a polished English version suitable for a museum website Home Page / Visits section.
I’ve adjusted phrasing to sound natural to international visitors while keeping the institutional clarity museums typically use.

We offer guided tours of the Turaida Museum Reserve in Latvian, Russian, English and German.

  • A manor often sits within an estate; an estate’s main house may be a mansion. Example: a country estate with parkland (estate), historically organized as the local manor (manor), whose principal residence is a mansion (mansion).
  • Estate stresses economic function (farming, rental income, forestry, country pursuits).

Practical takeaway

  • Use “estate” when referring to land and consolidated property holdings; use “manor” when referring to historic/legal manorial units or as a historic place name;
