Guided tours
For school visits, we offer Museum Reserve guide services in Latvian, Russian, English and German.
Overview tour of the Turaida Museum Reserve (duration 1.5 – 2 hours; maximum 30 people in a group).
During the overview tour, the audience gets acquainted with the Turaida Museum Reserve and its message about the history of the Latvian people over a thousand years in the Historical Center of Turaida, as well as visits to buildings and exhibitions in the Turaida Church, Turaida Castle and other places. At the end of the tour, there is an opportunity to climb the main tower of the castle, where there is a viewing platform. It offers an excellent view of the ancient Gauja Valley.
During the tour, the group moves a lot outside, but part of the tour takes place indoors. We encourage you to dress according to the weather conditions.
Price for a group:
- Student group: in Latvian – 20.00 EUR/ per group + entrance tickets/ per pax
- Student group: in a foreign language – 30.00 EUR/ per group + entrance tickets/ per pax
