Lapkoku daudzveidības salīdzināšana Turaidas muzejrezervāta meža parkā un Lībiešu takā 7.–9. kl. skolēniem. Četras meitenes iet pa taciņu

Target group: students in grades 10–12

During the activity, students learn how to carry out field research in a natural environment. Worksheets and an interactive tree species (genus) identification tool are used. The programme takes place in the Museum Reserve’s forge building, forest park, and along the Livonian Trail.

The programme is linked to the Grade 10 Biology course (Biology I – basic course), topic: “The Environment and Evolutionary Changes in Organisms.”

Participants conduct fieldwork to investigate how different processes influence environmental change in the surrounding area. They select appropriate data collection methods and indicators and use organism identification guides and classification schemes. Students also develop skills in recording and analysing data and learn to treat the natural environment responsibly and with care.
