Bērnu grupa pie kartes klausās vadītājas stāstījumu

The aim of this programme is to introduce students to a unique cultural heritage site — Dainu Hill.

The programme takes place outdoors in the Folk Song Park, which includes the Song Garden and Dainu Hill. During the activity, students explore the sculptures created by sculptor Indulis Ranka and learn about the history of Dainu Hill.

Through games, singing, reading folk songs, play, and discussion, participants discover the story woven into the sculptures — the Latvian traditional worldview and values expressed in folk songs: family bonds and harmonious coexistence, continuity between generations, and the connection between people and nature.

The well-kept environment, the landscape of the ancient Gauja River valley, and the harmony created by the interaction of nature and human craftsmanship form an essential backdrop for the programme and provide participants with a positive emotional experience.

The programme is suitable for younger primary school students.
